How is cat urine removed from carpet and underlay?
Answers:
But a product called " Natures Miracle" sold in pet store and feed %26 grains..it's designed to elimate all protien problems..urine is a protien,
I have used it for years and it has never failed/
Pour it on and leave it for at least 1 hour ( it is clear) then using a towel blot up the excess.
If you can get to the floor under the carpet..pour on and leave for at least 2 hours.
Do not dilute with any other product or water.
If you can't find all the spots..using a blacklite ( some pet stores rent it out..use it after dark..all the stains ( protien) will glow..then you will know where to treat with the Natures.
It has never failed.
Vinegar and water is great. Can't remember how much of each but it does work. I also use Prosolve which is great for most stains on carpets and has a pleasant smell. Good Luck.
go rent a carpet cleaning machine wal mart has good ones then use ammonia and a orange cleaner this will get the stains out and use a fan to dry it faster because the ammonia will smell but it cleans it good then put cardboard down so the cat will pee on that or news paper
My new kitten had a mistake yesterday and I was unprepared. I looked in my cabinet and found Upholstry Cleaner. I sprayed it, let it set 3 minutes, scrubbed it and it seems to be fine. No mistakes there today so I guess I got the smell out.
There is a product called Simple Solution sold at pet supply stores - it's not expensive - and it beats anything else I've ever tried. You pour it on the spot (I've even poured it directly on my red silk sofa) and the enzymes in the solution actually "eat" the bacteria and stain from the urine. It won't ruin your fabric, either.
there is an enzyme product on the market called "Out!", try using that or a similar enzyme based formula. This product also works in the wash, if your cat happens to pee in the laundry
i just put some powder on it, the urine gets absorbed into teh powder thingz, and just rmeove it
It might be a good idea to change the carpet and padding. We did this after raising 3 pups and used Killz (I think) to seal the wood floors underneath. It totally gets rid of the smell, but you might not want to go to this extreme!
