How long can a cat be in labor for?

Answers:
Up to six hours for the first stage, but then she should have a kitten every 30 to 60 minutes once delivery has started.
I had my cat in labor for 8 years before someone bought his freedom
I don't know really, but tell her I said congradumeowmeow ! lol Kittens are so presious !
I was watching Animal Cops yesterday and the vet said that cats can sometimes be in labor and delivery for up to 24 hours w/ first pregnancy, especially in young cats. If it goes longer, go to the vet, a kitten may be stuck.
That cat they were talking about was less than 1 year and a stray. If your cat is older than that or has had another litter, expect it to go faster. Contact your vet if you think that your cat is having problems.
till 14h
The most they should be in labor is between 12-24hrs before the first kitten pops out and after the first kittens pops out there will be between 6 min-5 hrs before she's done pushing out the next one...when the kitten come out with the placenta(after birth) its ok if she starts eating it...but dont let her eat more than 3 or she might get sick(vomit)

Congrats
