I am due to have my female kitten spayed, but the day after i have to go into work. Is it ok to leave her will she be ok? or should i do it when i can book time off work? i don't want her to hurt herself.

Usually they are pretty groddy the first day or so so she will probably be resting alot. Just have a nice place for her to recover away from everything. She will be fine in a few days.
She will be okay, she'll stay quite and there isn't much you can do for any ways. She'll probably sleep the whole time you're away, don't worry.
She'll be fine, she'll just want to sleep all day anyway. and when you get home, just give her loads of cuddles. she will want to rest.
U should really book time off work or at least ask somone if possible to pop in and check on her, a neighbour maybe?
She will be in discomfort, not necessarily any pain cos the vet will have given her some painkillers.
But she will be stitched, so she will need to checked to make sure she dosn't try to pull them out or do anything too strenuous which will make them come out.x
Your kitten will just want to curl up somewhere and stay quiet. I doubt she will move very much during the day. She will be in quite some pain but that will be dealt with by the antibiotics your vet will give you, so she may be a bit drowsy.
Overall she will be fine on her own as long as you keep the area she is in fairly dim from light and comfortable.
If you still feel that you're going to worry about her, try and take at least half of the day off. (Pull a sicky at dinner time?)
Make sure you don't drive yourself mad with anxiety, it can be a difficult time for the owner not just the pet after a visit to the vets!
She must wear a cone collar that will prevent her from tearing the stictches. I would do it when i will be able to supervise her. Once here on Y!Answers a guy left his spayed cat alone and she tore the stitches and her tummy opened up and she died! It was horrible! Anyway, if she is a female, my vet prefers to keep her in the clinic for a couple of days. Can't you arrange that? Also my vet sort of wraps the cat with a bandage so that there is no possibility for her to tear the stitches. Talk with your vet.
My vet kept my kitty overnight and kept an eye on her until I could pick her up after work the next day. They said they do that to watch and see if she needed anything for pain since it would be easier for them to give it to her than me. As it turned out she didn't need anything. She just wanted to lay around. She was fine in less than 48 hours of her surgery.
When a cat is spayed their body temperature drops so they must be kept warm and quiet.
My kitten was spayed today, I know that she generaly sleeps when I am not at home so I will be going to work tomorrow. The only bad thing she can do to herself is pull the stitches out, but I will watch her tonight and see how she is behaving.
Maybe confine her to a quiet room and keep her in there while you're gone (with a comfy place to sleep, litterbox, and food/water) She will be alright, you don't have to stay home. When cats come back from speying they are usually very groggy from the anesthesia for awhile, and will just lay around anyway.

I had two one was the worse for ware for two days. The other , although her stitches broke twice (having to back to the vat for re-stitching) she seemed not to notice. But my nerves did, seeing the open wound.
