as next doors male cat wont leave her alone?
Answers:
Cats can get pregnant straight after having a litter, so it's best to keep them in at all times until her op. Mine had kittens 8 weeks and 5 days ago, they left home on Monday and she hasn't stopped crying to go out since. She's trying it on with anything she comes into contact with too!!
According to my vet, they cant be spayed until 3 weeks after she has stopped producing milk, so unfortunately for her, she has another 2 1/2 weeks stuck indoors. poor thing!
oh my god you bragger
straight away my cat got pregnant the day after giving to birth to her first lot of kittens this can be very bad for the cat
Straight away
straight away please keep her in and take her to get spayed in 8 weeks i know its hard to keep her in but its better than lookin after another litter or worse still loosing you cat as this can make her ill
we had the same problem at my dad's house. a very long mess that involved his 2 cats and 5 litters of kittens in a 3 year period :-s
basically, you need to get your cat spayed (local humane society places usually do it the cheapest) as soon as it's reccommended by a vet. (i think it's probably best to cross your fingers and wait till the kittens are weaned just so you dont mess with the hormones that give them milk) or you need to talk to your neighbors about getting their cat(s?) neutered. (neutering is often cheaper than spaying) because if you're having a problem with it, it's very likely that other people in your neighborhood with female cats are getting it too.
get her spayed and be responsible.
Once the kittens are weaned - at 6 weeks - she will can come back into season. Have her spayed then.
Straight away please dnt allow her to fall pregnant again i dont know where you are but in britain you can get the vet to give them a contraception injection ( mostly used for breeding show cats at the right time) if you want to have another litter from her in the future but if you dont get her neutered it the kindest thing for her
She can get pregnant right away and I'm sorry to say this but a responsible pet owner would know this.
she can get caught quick!!!! as soon as you let her out she can come home pregnant.
if you want to get her spayed then do so once she has nursed her kittens. but if you don't and would like another litter then
Normally, the minimum wait between litters should be 3 months + 1 month for every kitten who nursed of her.
Physically, it's possible straight away, tho' most females won't be interested while they're busy with the litter. Better keep her in!
Almost immediately, so keep her away from any un-neutered males. She will need about 6 weeks nursing her kittens, then she can be spayed. I am glad you are being responsible aout this. Could you talk to your neighbour about getting the male neutered? Good luck with the kittens.
