Easy, and funny since i JUST looked this up at my local library.
It is approxatlamy (?i can't spell?) 6 to 8 WEEKS for a dog, and 4 to 6 MONTHS for a kitty. Since the womb has to nuture a few kits, its naturally only for a short time.
