I had 5 cats, then one had 7 kittens so I was feeding cat food and kitten food..?

Now the kittens are over a year old and they all like kitten food the best...is this okay for them ?
Answers:
Cats tend to prefer kitten food to adult cat food. Maybe it's tastier. Sometimes it has milk flavor in it.

However, kitten food contains extra minerals that developing kittens need but grown up cats do not. In fact, the extra minerals are not good for them.

When you switch your over to adult food, do it gradually to avoid a big Finicky Cats incident. First mix in the adult food so it is 20% or 25% of their total, and gradually increase the proportion over the period of two or three weeks till they are eating adult food exclusively. Be sure to feed them a high-quality brand.
I would imagine it would be alright. If they get hungry enough they will eat anything though.
i have a cat at my home and when he was a baby he was eating cat food. i don't know how but he did
anyways its been 7 years and my cat is healthy and loving and caring as any other cat

good luck in keeping all those cats loll!!
Kitten food is high in calories, because kittens are so active and need the extra calories. If you keep them on the kitten food they could become overweight.
Well kitten food had that extra nutrition for the growth, Just like they have Senior formula for the older cat to get that right nutrition also. So try to get them on regular cat food to prevent extra weight gain.

You might have to shop around to get the food to their taste. I sure did
You need to switch the cats to adult food or your cats will get fat.
