I am having doubts about being able to take care of my 2 cats- I leave the country often- what should I do?

the cat sitter answer is stupid !!
that's not responsible. boarding places are no life for cats, his cats were not happy there even though they took good care of them.

this is what my couzin did ,same situation . He asked relatives if they would like to them. He found someone who would like to have them and he is happy because he knows it'll be taken care of and he can still see them. well that relative was me! he feels better knowing that when he is gone somewhere his cats aren't alone and hungry because they ran out of food.

if no one says yes call the vets , they ALWAYS know good loving pet owners who may be looking for some!

good luck!
cat sitter!
do you have someone to cat sit for you, it does not cost a fortune, and they would be able to give the animals what they need. I have someone that does this for me, (animal sit) because i work 60 + hours a week.
be nice and give them way they need a lot of attention dont be selfish cats matter to
if you can afford as pet sitter, go ahead and do that. there's also the option of boarding houses for pets when you're gone. they do a darn good job of feeding and grooming the pet each day. i think they even have people playing with them.
Do you have any friends that like your cats? If you give your cats to your friend, then when you come back from your travels, you'll be able to see them.
Here are some options:

1. Give the cats to a relative or good friend who you see often. That way, you can visit with them whenever you're home and you know they're well-cared for. This is, in my opinion, the best choice: the cats have a full-time caretaker.

2. Hire a cat-sitter whenever you go away; have a neighbor who loves animals change their water, clean their litter boxes, and play with them for a little while every day. This may, however, get expensive, and the cats may be lonely.

3. Give the cats to a cats-only, free-roam shelter. If you are in the southern New England area, a great place is Habitat for Cats in New Bedford: the cats there have free reign in a 3-story house and volunteers are there to play with them and monitor their health 16 hours per day, including holidays.
