I found 4 kittens behind my shed. What do i do? I dont know if they have rabies.?

These kittens are really small and cute and im thinnking about keeping one of them, but i dont know if they have rabies and i want all of them to get a nice home.
Answers:
Keep them all, and have them fixed. BTW, the mother may still be around for them, so don't take them away just yet.

Almost certainly, they don't have rabies.
Have them checked.

Find good homes for the rest or take them to a "No Kill" animal shelter.

Good Luck.
you should go to the vet to get them checked out and then you should put them in a shelter
Aw. Rabies is probably the least of your worries. Take them to an animal shelter/vet. There's no other responsible option.
you could maybe call animal control or be very careful with them and take to the pet or put a sign up reporting them lost
Take them to the vet! it's a safe step b4 u take them inside ur home.
the best way to do this is take them to the vet also if there mother is wild it is strongly suggested that u use gloves when handling them for they may be wild as well..
You better just leave them alone untill the mother comes back to feed them. Are you sure they are kittens and not baby rats?
The really small thing really bothers me. Mother cats do not usually leave their babies for a long time. Wait and see if the mom comes back. Did you tell your parents about them I hope. Don't pick them up. If you have wash your hands well with soap, and don't touch them anymore untill your parents check on them. They must belong to one of your neighbors cats or their poor mother may have been dropped off and abandoned. The kitties may be sick or have a disease. You should take them to the vet if no-one else owns them. Hope all works out okay. Good Luck.
Take them to the vet to get checked out to before you get too attached.

Just fyi, a friend I knew got ringworm (a skin rash) from handling stray cats, but it wasn't serious. Not sure about the rabies part.
Odds are extremely good they do not have rabies.
Will they drink water?
Where is momma cat?
Get them ALL vacccinated, your vet will probably cut you a deal as they are rescues.
You would Know if they had rabies very quickly, by the way they are acting, if they are old enough they will hiss at you when you go in to get them, that does not mean they are sick but protecting them self. If they did have rabies they would be frothing at the mouth Put on a well protective pair of gloves while you are handling them, put them in a box with some sort of material to keep them warm. Where I live there are nonprofit cat shelters, where they care for the kittens, check their health and all. Look into that, but the kittens need a check up immediately and you need to know how to care for them properly if that is what you are going to do.
They probably don't, since they're young, but you can't be too careful with strays. I'd suggest calling some professional, like a vet or humane society volunteer, to come over and have them checked out. If that's not possible, and you do suspect they might have rabies, and they don't have a mother to care for them, wear gloves and long sleeves and take them to the vet to be checked out. Rabies has an incubation period during which it's treatable, but after that there's nothing anyone can do, and a person or animal will die horribly. If they're safe for the time being (and I assume they are, or you wouldn't have asked on PetQnA.com ), you might want to do a little reading on rabies. But don't wait too long. It'd be a real shame if the kittens died.

If after they're checked out by a professional it turns out they don't have rabies, or they do but it's early enough to be curable, keeping one of them might be a good idea :-).
Rabies is deadly very quickly at such a small size, if they have rabies they won't live the week. Rabies causes fear of things, if they aren't scared of you, there's less chance they have rabies. Rabies is sometimes called hydrophobia, meaning fear of water. Rabiid animals are normally dehydrated pretty quickly.
If I were you I'd take them to the vet for some shots and then find most of them good homes. They sound so cute!
Unless they are foaming at the mouth, they probably don't have rabies. If you don't want to take them to an animal shelter, try craigslist or the greensheet to place an ad. I think cl is free but not too sure about the greensheet.
They probably don't have rabies. Take them to a vet to have them checked.
what you take them to the vet but , ware some gloves ,,, that will, help you not to get bite...
