There is really nothing you can do to stop a cat, especially a Persian from losing a lot of fur. It is the nature of the beast. I have a Persian cat in NYC, actually 2 of them and the amount of fur that I have in my apartment is amazing. I just walk along behind them with a dust buster. What you need to do is to comb your cat as often as possible. Get one of those brushes, one side is a wire brush, the other side is like a regular brush. It works well to get out the knots and to get the fur off of the cats. You really need to do this, it's the only way to keep the fur from falling off the cat. You have a long fur cat in a hot climate, take care of the fur or you will be knee deep in fur bunnies. Good luck.
Healthy cats shed. Well... mine don't shed very much, bu they are Devon Rex. Persians shed a lot! To minimize shedding, comb your cat every day to remove loose hair. Some people choose to have their longhaired cats shaved by a groomer if they are badly matted or in the heat of summer.
My cats fur never just fell out in the summer. They naturally shed their winter coat for the summer. All the fur does not come out, it is just thinner.

There is no way to stop a cat from shedding. My cat prefers to be shaved in the summer! It is mean to make them carry around that thick heavy coat in the heat.

Why would you want to keep your cat from shedding its winter coat?
In the spring and early summer, all cats will shed their winter coats. That hair is heavier and thicker, so as to protect them in the winter cold. They obviously don't need as much in the warmer months, so they shed it. Since India is very hot in the summer, your Persian cat may shed a little more than most cats, but it's not abnormal and there isn't anything you can do about it. You can brush the cat daily to help minimize the effect, but she will still shed.

I know that some people, who live in warmer climates, have shaved their long hair cats and dogs in the summer. Especially, if they have breeds that originated in colder climates.
just keep your cat in cool condition...
i mean, like mine in Malaysia...
i always bathe it twice a day like me...
shampoo and condition it's fur after u bathe it using cats shampoo n conditioner...- not yours
or easier, just dont let it gets 'dirty'...
if it does, germs will atack it's skin under it's fur...
i always let my home's air-conditioner open...- if u dont have 1 just use fans...
and dont let your cat eat junk food like fish and dead mice(if u do)...
that will make it's fur looks... terrible- i think...
