I can't take him to the vet to get checked out and so I'm a little bit worried about it. He's fine in every other aspect, running around, playing eating and drinking, the only other thing is he hides behind the desk and then cries for you to come to him!

if he is eating and drinking then i would not worry,can you ask the person who you bought him from,if any of the other kittens have this as well,and has the breeder seen this before.
you could always google it on here and see what comes up.

as long as he seems healthy in every other way he should be fine. if he goes off his food then u shoud take him too the vets but it doesnt sound like too much too worry about
has he been scratched ? Is it a scar? as long as he is eating it sounds OK.
its normal if you just whacked it with a stick
it's probably just a scratch or small scar. if it doesn't get any worse and he keeps eating/playing then i think he's fine.

it could be a birth make not sure if cats have them, a scar or he might have scratched himself just keep an eye on it otherwise he sounds like a perfectly healthy lil one. please keep him strictly indoors it is so much safer for them. my two lil one (not so lil now tho) hid and cried for you to come and get them he is just making sure you will love him and play with him, he might be a lil scared as it is the first time he has left mum and his litter mates.
