I am thinking of getting a kitten for myself, what are the price ranges for vaccinations and spaying etc,?

i'm new at this and don't want to be overwhelmed by the sudden costs, i would like to know before hand what the costs and expenses will be to care for a kitten as best as i can.

well it usually depends on the size and age of your kitty-and your vet's prices. My baby is around 1 yrs old and her total costs of declawing and spaying which we did all at once was about $256. That cost for me included the blood work they do before the surgery, the actually surgery [declawing of the front 2 paws, and spaying] .. plus the anastesia and pain medicine-however I don't believe that included the shots. I know my kitty had her shots before we got her so as for the shots im not sure about how much it runs, I do know vets vary prices so you may want to call up some local vets and do some shopping around. They're probably going to ask you the size and age of your kitty as well. Maybe you can also try a local animal shelter, usually they've got cats already fixed and everything. Whatever your decision Good luck! And I hope you get a kitty, they're FUN FUN FUN!!
I recomend that you call a local vet office and get their prices. All vets varie in their prices so the only way to be sure is to call and ask your vet. Good Luck.
i would suggest getting a pet from the humane society or an animal shelter. At the humane society, the pets are already spayed and neutered and the people there would be happy to answer any of you questions. Plus, you would be saving a life.
Depends on where you take your kitty to the vet. Typically, your first appointment will cost maybe about 60-100 dollars for the costs of the examination fee (they sometimes add a first appointment fee), they test for feline leukemia, shots (rabies, distemper and feline leukemia), and possibly medicine to deworm or get rid of ear mites. If you get her spayed it's about 100 dollars for everything. Annual exams will not cost you nearly as much and some of the shots are every two years rather than annually. Have fun with your new kitten! If you can, get two. It's so much fun for them to have a friend!
if price is your main concern then get a male cat. NEUTERING it's always cheaper no matter where you go then SPAYING, which is a much more complicated operations and vaccinations some times come free or at a discount with adopting a cat which is not only the cheapest option but can actually be life saving.. and after all isn't THAT the best thing for all concerned ?
depends on where you go, i would call around and see how much they are and where the cheapest is. Thats what i did before i took my cat anywhere. :)
depends where u live, spaying i use an organization called spay inc. or find a low cost one thru a local animal shelter. can be 100+ for a female, prices have went sky high, shots vary also, indoor cats don't need the whole package, just rabies and the respiratory one. ask a friend for a vet recommendation or get out the yellow pages. also petsmart has them already fixed with shots at $130 which is a deal when u break it down, also shelters.
If you live in the US and adopt a pet from a shelter, it will already have all the vaccinations and would be spayed/neutered. There is a fee when adopting $60-$120 depending on the shelter. Afterwards, you should take your animal for a yearly physical exam. In Miami, it costs about $100 and includes all the vaccinations including rabies. They check the animal's poop, claws/nails, chest, ears, temperature, eyes, etc. Always call a few vet hospitals/clinics to check their prices before making an appt. However, you will find that prices in your area will be pretty close to each other.
