How soon can you handle newborn kittens?

Answers:
Well, its not a good idea, period, to touch them within the first ten hours of birth. Once they are dry from birth, however, you can pick them up briefly to look them over, but make it brief and not too often for the first couple of days. Momma is going to be tired and will appreciate someone looking after them while she rests or goes to the potty or for food or drink. But when she comes back, put them down and leave them alone. The sooner you begin handling these kittens, the more people friendly they are going to be when they are grown. A feral mother might abandon them though, but if she's your cat and trusts you, its okay. So leave feral kittens alone until they have thier eyes open and are walking around. But any mother is going to get really nervous if you're messing too much with their babies and move them somewhere else if you mess with them too much before they're moving about on their own.
you need to wait untill they are atleast a week old, so there mother wont feel like your taking them away from her
It depends on your relationship with the momma cat. If you and the mom are close and she trusts you you can handle them the day they are born. However if you try to hold them and she doesn't trust you she will move them so that you can not find them. Use your best judgment. Good Luck.
I d give it 2 or 3 days -
congrats
If close to mum, within hours of the birth. I had to assist a little in my cats birth last night and she was perfectly happy with me there. I hold them briefly and as long as she is relaxed with it. As they get older this can increase and is vey good for socialising them. Congrats x
