How old should your kittens be before giving them away?

Answers:
Kittens should be left with the mother as long as possible for socialization. 6 weeks is the minimum as long as they are completely weaned onto kitten food. 8-10 weeks is better. At this point they should be exploring on their own, mom should have completely weaned them, and they are ready to move on to their new "mom and dad". Once the kittens are weaned, mom can be spayed. Be sure to find quality homes for your "babies" and be sure of their intentions (i.e. inside only, spaying/neutering, etc.). You should also have their first vet check before placing them in their new homes. This visit should consist of a Feline Leukemia/AIDS test, fecal exam (stool), and exam. If you can afford it, they should also have their first set of shots. Doing this will make it easier to find them homes and will ensure you are not giving someone else a sick kitten. Good luck!!
At least 8 weeks!
keep them all and then makes lots more cats, keep them and make more until you have a cat collony the size of birmingham lol
8-12 weeks as long as they are weaned.and make sure the homes they go to are going to get them fixed, you should do the same for your cat. Everytime they have a litter it shortens their lifespan and gives a higher risk of disease.
6-8 weeks when you can take them away from mom and nursing.
About 6 weeks we gave our kittens away. They were fine and so was the mother.
Generally 6 weeks, but definately old enough to eat solid foods and drink water by themselves.
6 weeks.
6-8 weeks got some myself when their mom quits lettig them eat and you see them eating from their moms food bowl when shes ready shell let you and them know if youre not sure of their bday
8 weeks minumum, but 12 weeks is preferable.
Not before 6 weeks, but the better time for the kittens is 8 to 10 weeks. Or when they can eat food on their own and not need their mother.
Most people say 6 weeks, this is generally too early, 8 weeks is absolute minimum, 12 weeks is ideal.
8 weeks. They should be able to eat hard food and use a litter box (if they're inside cats).
Earliest is 3 months of age.
At that age, a kitten is ready to enter a new home and be a wonderful pet.
It is the perfect stage of their development because they have been weaned, they would have been toilet trained and mum would have had enough time to teach them the essential skills of using a scratching post. She'll punish her kittens if they misbehave.
You'll realise many people who have problem cats, actually had kittens which were separated from mum far too early. Nobody teaches them better than mum.
So ensure your pets good lives by ensuring them good start.(By not rushing it).
8-12 weeks from what I have read.
My kitten was 12 weeks when we got her %26 she has been fine.
at least 8 weeks old but they are still young at that age i like to wait until 12 weeks. But they no longer need mama to survive at that age they may want her though.
At the very least 8 weeks.
The kittens should be at least 8 weeks old before leaving their mom. You ideally should take them to the vet around this time to check them for parasites. Also they should be vaccinated and dewormed.
i was wondering the same thing, my kittens are 6 wks. old.
8-12 weeks.
They are still nursing from mom until the 6th week .
