How do you get rid of worms without going to the vet?

I cant afford the 110 vet bill, unfortunately
Answers:
Go to the local pet store and buy some de-wormer. It should have a drug in it called strongid or pyrantel. Make sure it is the correct dose for your animal. Good Luck.
go fishing
What kind of worms?
Tape or Round?
Hookworms, whip worms, pin worms?
It matters!!!
Depending on what kind of worms you little guy has depends on what kind of dewormer you need. Check with your local feed store, They usually carry everything including tabs for tapeworms.
There may be medications available. Check 1-800-Pet-Meds or their website. If not, you may just have to go to the vet and see if they can hold the check for a little while. My vet allows me to do that.
yeah it shouldnt be that much, i trust one type to kill off the worms but i cant post it here cause i would get chewed out. it costs lil and lasts months, just gotta do monthly worming.

it works
Well you should not have the cat in the first place if you can't afford the bill. But to awnser your question, it depends on what kind of worm. they have wormer at the store but that generally onlt covers round worms and it is not as good as you get at the vet.

good luck
Having a cat entails having a financial responsibility for it.

Since a Fecal Test NEEDS to be done to determine what kind of worms may be present, you NEED to take the cat to the vet.

Perhaps your neighborhood OR the local PetsMart has a low cost clinic.

Please take your cat to the vet. THEY may also be able to give you a discount. They can also give you Frontline for Cats to put on the cat so it does not get any more fleas. Are you keeping your cat inside? Indoor cats lead safer healthier lives.

Since your cat may need more medical work in the future, why not set up a small savings fund that you can use the next time you need to take the cat to the vet.

My Princess needed $3,000 worth of treatment and surgeries in 2 years-- she had cancer -- there was NO way I was going to let her suffer without treatment -- somehow I borrowed and budgeted and she got the medical help she needed.
By dog wormer at the pet store
ask for something at the nearest veterinarian drug store.
ok can you actually see the worms? or does your cat look skinny?. supermarkets usually have worming tablets for all worm types.. they have all details you need to know.. or you could ring the vets and ask them on advice.. tell them the signs and they should point you in the right direction.. best of luck..
$110 for worm treatment?!! Where in the world do you live?! Treatment of tapeworms (worms gotten by eating fleas) here in my city is, at maximum, $15 per cat! You're being ripped off if you're paying that much for the treatment. However, the best advice I could give you for preventing this from happening again is, make sure your cat(s) ALWAYS have a flea preventative during the high flea months! That's the best way to keep you and your pets healthy! If you go on the 1-800-Petmeds website or call the number, they have a cheaper version of the pills to get rid of those kind of worms, but I would definitely make sure to take them to the vet for that treatment (as those worms have a tendancy of coming back and of causing problems for both you and your cat!). Your cat's health and yours is well worth paying the money to keep them healthy! Good luck with your kitty!
crikey get a new vet!! Not sure if you're in the uk but it shouldnt cost that much!!!
normal worm tablets should do the trick, but you need to check which type of worms they have before.
