How do you get rid of a stray cat ?

Give it to me. I've already rescued 6 stray cats. They keep showing up on our farm. No one else wants them so I take them in.

Just do not feed it or pet it..it should soon go else where on its own..oh and make sure there is no trash around for it to get into either...but if you have kids tell them to not play with the cat at all.good luck to u tho

do not feed it nor let it find any food to eat around your house, call animal control and don't play with it and before you know it the stray cat will be gone.But please don't be mean and try to hurt the cat or try to kill the animal with getting a dog to kill it .

Make sure that you don;t feed the cat... don't let your kids play with it... don't be mean to it thou...if it doesn't leave make sure that it doesn't have a home.. then take it the local shelter... then leave the rest to the shelter.. but don't feel sad or guilty for doing the right thing.

If the cat is not feral, I would suggest catching him/her and taking it to a no kill shelter. If you are unable to catch the kitty, call a shelter. I am sure that they have someone they can send out there to get the cat. It is always best to be humane to the poor animal. It did not ask to be homeless.:(

contact animal control and have them bring a humane trap to your home. they will teach you the most effective way of trapping the animal.

contact the humane societyin your area They have trap like cages that you can use to capture the cat and then you turn the stray over to them. You can repeat this until the problem is over. If the animal is adoptable they do so. The wild ones are normaly relocated to farms and other areas in the country.

Most of the time, if the same stray is always hanging around you, it is because it wants to live with you. Cats are kinda psychic.
This also indicates, this cat was someone else's pet. sometimes these cats can stray to far from home; more often owners move and abandon their pets.

If you don't want this stray, see if you know someone or an agency that can adopt it.
