How do you get rid of cat spray from a wall & heat vent?

My boyfriend left a window open %26 a cat came in and sprayed his wall near the air duct. He has a parrot %26 other birds, so he can't use something that will hurt them. What can he use?
Answers:
1.Diluted vinegar in a spray bottle (water and vinegar, equal parts).
2.Towel dry.
3.Odo-Ban or liquid Lysol/water after, let air dry.
move, the smell will never go away.
Replace the wall and heat vent.
Vinegar...it gets rid of bad odors. Try it. Or bleach, but bleach can be harmful. Vinegar is just food. Doesn't smell great, but it's better than cat spray.
open the vent and put a stick of deodrant or a dryer sheet in it instant order deorizer.
I used a stuff called "Nature's Miracle" when my cat was getting to senile to find her catbox. You can find it at Petco or PetSmart. They have a selection of items for pet odor and stain removal that's safe for pets.
OdoBan
The only place to get it that I know of is Sam's Club.
nothing will work on cat spray i think but just try frebreez it might it came out after the saying that nothing works
OdorXit.

I used this in a trailer that I rented that had a feral cat community. I never figured out how to battle the cats, but this will battle the odor. YES..there is some work involved.
Use Simple Solution or Natures Miracle according to the package directions. These products are available in pet supply stores and some grocery stores. They work great. You may need to remove the air duct and clean inside, as well as soak the cover. These products are supposedly "organic" and not supposed to harm people or pets. If it still smells, you could use a blacklight to find where the odor originates and then clean it up.
